3 New Year’s Resolutions for Your Swimming Pool

New Custom Pool

As we welcome a new year, we tend to make resolutions on things we want to do. Resolve to spend more time poolside this year with these 3 New Year’s Resolutions for your pool.

1. UPDATE YOUR POOLSCAPE

Start planning now to update your poolscape. As the spring approaches, retailers will likely have great deals on plants, shrubs, outdoor furniture and other decor in the spring that will help you transform your poolscape. And if you start planning now, you’ll be set to take advantage of these sales when they appear.

Consider adding unique elements like paver stones to create an attractive pathway from your patio to your pool. Then add colorful elements like throw pillows, outdoor rugs, vases and even umbrellas in the hottest seasonal colors. Small trees and hedges can go a long way in making the rest of the world seemingly disappear while you’re in your pool.

2. REACH FITNESS GOALS

Getting into shape is one of the top New Year’s resolutions across the country, and if you’re a pool owner, you can give yourself a leg up by incorporating swimming into your daily workout. Swimming is a full-body workout and you can do it in the comfort of your own backyard, so no trips to the gym!

If your pool isn’t conducive to off-season swimming, now might be a good time to change that. Consider installing a pool heater that will let you enjoy more swim days throughout the year.

3. SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY

Pools are more than a place to relax and exercise. It’s a place to bring your family together and create memories for years to come. If you want to spend more time with family in the coming year, consider including your pool in the mix. From summer pool parties and movie nights to incorporating your poolscape into evening and holiday plans, use your pool as a centerpiece to gather your family around and have fun.
